Job Details

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures
• Set up operating rooms with instruments, supplies, and equipment before procedures
• Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to surgeons during procedures while anticipating surgical needs
• Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment
• Perform sponge, instrument, and sharps counts according to facility protocols
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and draping
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection prevention standards
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and support quality patient care initiatives
• Adhere to all patient safety and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
• Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced operating room environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and delivering high-quality care
