WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

--------------------------------------------------

• Arrange instrument trays, prepare sterile drapes and solutions, and help the surgical team put on caps, gowns, and gloves.
• Assist with patient preparation as needed.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and surgical assistants.
• May assist with sponge, needle, and other supply counts to track materials used during surgery.
• May operate suction, diagnostic, and sterilizing equipment, and package specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Clinic responsibilities may include:
•   Rooming patients
•  Taking vital signs
•  Processing orders
•  Routing phone calls

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED (Required)

Certification:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certificate (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (Required)

Experience:

• 1 year of Surgery Experience (Preferred)
