The Irrigation Technician I performs basic repairs, installations, and maintenance for all irrigation systems. Performs preventative and routine maintenance on irrigation systems and assists in irrigation repairs and troubleshooting.
About UsThe role of the Landscape Services is to provide a safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing exterior environment for the students, faculty and staff of K-State. The department is responsible for the maintenance and installation of over 250 acres of turf grass, shrubs, trees and annual flower beds on campus.
Worksite DescriptionThis position is On-site.
All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
What You'll Need to SucceedMinimum Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma and one year of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Skill in use and operations of tools, machines and equipment commonly used in plumbing and electrical work at the skilled craft level.
- 1-3 years of experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance
- Institution grounds experience
Additional Role Information:
- Back flow Certification must be completed within first year of employment.
