Associate Attorney - General Liability

The Opportunity

A highly respected Puget Sound litigation firm is actively seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Tacoma and Seattle offices.  This is a strong opportunity for a litigation associate who wants hands-on trial experience, meaningful responsibility early on, and a clear path for growth within a well-established and successful firm.

This firm is known for its strength in medical malpractice and general liability defense, with attorneys who are actively trying cases. The role offers immediate exposure to all phases of litigation and is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career as a trial attorney.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a variety of civil litigation matters, including insurance defense, personal injury, and wrongful death cases
  • Represent clients such as businesses, healthcare providers, and institutions in complex litigation
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, including:
    • Client interaction
    • Discovery
    • Depositions
    • Motion practice
    • Trial preparation and trial
  • Collaborate closely with partners and litigation team members
  • Develop case strategy and contribute to successful trial outcomes

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • 3+ years of civil litigation and/or General Liability experience
  • Active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial strategy
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
  • Proficiency with legal technology, including Word, Outlook, and Lexis

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Comfortable working with both in-office and remote team members using tools like MS Teams
