This role involves working as a molding operator and assembly line worker to produce plastic automotive parts. You assemble components, inspect and sort parts for quality, package finished products, and ensure materials are stocked to support continuous production.
Responsibilities
- Operate molding machines to produce plastic automotive parts according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Assemble plastic automotive parts on the production line using hand tools and other basic equipment.
- Inspect parts for defects, ensuring they meet quality specifications before packaging or further processing.
- Sort parts based on quality, type, or production requirements to maintain an organized workflow.
- Package finished products accurately and securely to prepare them for storage or shipment.
- Stock materials and finished goods in designated areas to support efficient production and inventory control.
- Use general production and general labor skills to support various tasks within the work cell as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of steel-toe footwear and safe handling of tools and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the small work cell environment.
- Collaborate with team members in small work cells to meet production goals and maintain consistent output.
- Experience in general production or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to operate molding machines and perform machine operation tasks.
- Hands-on experience with assembly work, particularly assembling plastic or automotive parts.
- Skill in performing visual inspection to identify defects or quality issues.
- Capability to sort, package, and stock parts and materials efficiently.
- Comfort with general labor tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling materials.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
- Willingness and ability to work traditional 8-hour shifts, including up to 6 days per week as needed.
- Previous experience as a production worker, molding operator, or assembly line worker.
- Background in inspection, sorting, packaging, or packing in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience operating forklifts is beneficial.
- Flexibility to work any of the three shifts as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a clean manufacturing environment organized into small work cells, where you work closely with a few other people. The facility operates traditional 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with three primary shifts: 1st shift from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2nd shift from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and 3rd shift from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Schedules may include up to 6 days per week, for a maximum of 48 total hours. The environment can become hot during the summer months, so you should be comfortable working in warmer conditions. Steel-toe boots or shoes are required as part of the dress code, and you will regularly use hand tools and production equipment while working on the line.
