Shipping and Receiving Clerk / Picker-Packer- $23/hr

Job Description

This role supports warehouse operations by accurately picking and packing customer orders, receiving and organizing materials, and maintaining precise inventory records in a fast-paced distribution environment. The position requires a detail-oriented and dependable individual who can follow written and verbal instructions, work effectively with warehouse systems and scanners, and help ensure that all shipments are prepared safely, accurately, and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and pack products according to customer orders and specifications.
  • Use hand-held scanners and a warehouse management system (WMS) to perform all picking, packing, and inventory-related tasks.
  • Inspect merchandise for quality and accuracy before packing to ensure correct items and quantities.
  • Prepare items for shipment, including proper packaging, labeling, and securing products to ensure safety during transit.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular inventory counts as needed.
  • Prepare completed orders for loading onto trucks for delivery while following all applicable safety regulations.
  • Comply with all warehouse safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with other warehouse team members to meet daily order fulfillment and productivity targets.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area to support efficient operations.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in supply chain, on a production floor, or in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience working with quality control systems, preferably in a GMP, ISO, or HACCP environment.
  • Ability to use hand-held scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) for picking, packing, and inventory tasks.
  • Basic computer literacy, including the ability to type and work with computer-based systems.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable in a team environment.
  • Capability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse shipping and receiving is beneficial.
  • Experience with warehouse inventory processes and cycle counts.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation or other warehouse equipment is an advantage.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
