Job Description
An established and growing Family Medicine practice in Cleveland, Tennessee is seeking a dedicated and motivated Physician Assistant to join its collaborative clinical team. This opportunity offers an excellent work-life balance with a weekday-only schedule and no call responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable treating patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric populations, and managing a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions in an outpatient primary care setting.
ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including:
Medical history reviews
Physical examinations
Assessment of presenting concerns
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections.
Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic test results, including laboratory and imaging studies.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient needs.
Provide preventive care services and health maintenance counseling.
Educate patients regarding:
Disease prevention
Medication adherence
Healthy lifestyle modifications
Chronic disease management
Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
Perform minor procedures within scope of practice and under physician collaboration as required.
Monitor vital signs and evaluate patient responses to treatment plans.
Provide support during urgent or emergent clinical situations.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Eligible for or possess an active Tennessee Physician Assistant license.
DEA license or eligibility to obtain.
Strong clinical knowledge of primary care principles and evidence-based practice.
Ability to diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of disease processes across all age groups.
Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and patient education abilities.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare documentation systems.
Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
