Overview

An established and growing Family Medicine practice in Cleveland, Tennessee is seeking a dedicated and motivated Physician Assistant to join its collaborative clinical team. This opportunity offers an excellent work-life balance with a weekday-only schedule and no call responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable treating patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric populations, and managing a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions in an outpatient primary care setting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including:

    • Medical history reviews

    • Physical examinations

    • Assessment of presenting concerns

  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections.

  • Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic test results, including laboratory and imaging studies.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

  • Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient needs.

  • Provide preventive care services and health maintenance counseling.

  • Educate patients regarding:

    • Disease prevention

    • Medication adherence

    • Healthy lifestyle modifications

    • Chronic disease management

  • Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.

  • Perform minor procedures within scope of practice and under physician collaboration as required.

  • Monitor vital signs and evaluate patient responses to treatment plans.

  • Provide support during urgent or emergent clinical situations.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

  • Eligible for or possess an active Tennessee Physician Assistant license.

  • DEA license or eligibility to obtain.

  • Strong clinical knowledge of primary care principles and evidence-based practice.

  • Ability to diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of disease processes across all age groups.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and patient education abilities.

  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare documentation systems.

  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
