Job Title: Operations Technician - Third Shift
Job Description
Join our team where you will play a crucial role in running and optimizing manufacturing lines in a leading cosmetic manufacturing facility. This hands-on, floor-based role requires technical expertise and is an excellent entry point into a maintenance career progression.
Responsibilities
- Operate machines and oversee assigned production lines to meet output and quality targets.
- Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and resolve routine equipment issues.
- Identify issues early to prevent downtime and maintain production flow.
- Diagnose problems within scope and escalate more complex issues to Maintenance Technicians.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
- Support and apply lean manufacturing concepts such as 5S and basic SPC practices.
- Train and mentor line operators on processes, safety, and equipment operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ideally 5 years of relevant machine operating experience, but flexibility is available.
- Experience in manufacturing, working with production equipment, automotive, or military experience.
- Ability to clearly explain diagnostic processes and problem-solving strategies.
- Root-cause problem-solving skills
- Understanding of when to troubleshoot versus escalate issues.
- Demonstrated ownership and accountability in past roles.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled, very clean, and highly automated environment. The position is on the third shift from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, with mandatory overtime expected every Saturday for the next 2-4 months.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxford, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.10 - $22.10/hr.
