A Medical Assistant (MA) is an important healthcare team member who helps doctors and nurses in clinics, doctor’s offices, and hospitals. They juggle both clinical duties, like taking vital signs and getting patients ready for exams, and administrative work, such as managing medical records and booking appointments. An LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) office nurse also blends clinical and administrative roles in clinics or private practices. Working under a physician or Registered Nurse (RN), they prepare patients, run routine lab tests, assist with procedures, update Electronic Health Records (EHR), and share treatment plans.
