Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations across designated patient populations, ensuring appropriate techniques and image quality
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, position and drape appropriately, and maintain patient safety and comfort
- Operate ultrasound equipment, select transducers, adjust imaging parameters, and optimize images for diagnostic interpretation
- Document findings in the Epic system and communicate results clearly to the ordering provider and radiologist
- Collaborate with the health care team, adapting to patient needs and hospital workflow; float within hospital or to nearby affiliates as required
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards throughout all scanning procedures
Requirements
- Active California license in Sonography (in hand)
- Epic charting experience (required)
- References: 2 required covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years; may include Charge RNs/Lead
- Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status not specified
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment with the stated shift pattern
- Must be willing to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
- Submittals require copies of certifications and license at submission
