Job Overview

This is a preschool integrated classroom teacher position, responsible for providing daily instruction and supporting students with special needs.

The successful candidate will have the ability to implement district-approved curriculum, document teaching and student progress, and address students' specific needs in a safe and optimal learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

This position involves teaching preschool integrated classroom and providing support to students with special needs. The teacher will be responsible for:

Teaching and Learning

• Implementing district-approved curriculum to maximize student learning experience.

Assessment and Record Keeping

• Documenting teaching and student progress, outcomes, and activities.

Classroom Management

• Providing a safe and optimal learning environment.

Collaboration and Communication

• Participating in IEP meetings and developing Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) for students.

Professional Development

• Continuing professional development through seminars, workshops, or professional meetings.

Certification/License: Integrated Early Child./Special Ed.,Nursey-K: Elem 1-3 (113)

• State Certification as a Special Education Teacher/General Education Teacher

• Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.

• Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.

• Masters Degree in Special Education.

• DCF Mandated Reporter Training

• Successful prior special education teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
