Job Overview
This is a preschool integrated classroom teacher position, responsible for providing daily instruction and supporting students with special needs.
The successful candidate will have the ability to implement district-approved curriculum, document teaching and student progress, and address students' specific needs in a safe and optimal learning environment.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
This position involves teaching preschool integrated classroom and providing support to students with special needs. The teacher will be responsible for:
Teaching and Learning
- Implementing district-approved curriculum to maximize student learning experience.
Assessment and Record Keeping
- Documenting teaching and student progress, outcomes, and activities.
Classroom Management
- Providing a safe and optimal learning environment.
Collaboration and Communication
- Participating in IEP meetings and developing Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) for students.
Professional Development
- Continuing professional development through seminars, workshops, or professional meetings.
Requirements
Certification/License: Integrated Early Child./Special Ed.,Nursey-K: Elem 1-3 (113)
- State Certification as a Special Education Teacher/General Education Teacher
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
- Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
- Masters Degree in Special Education.
- DCF Mandated Reporter Training
- Successful prior special education teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
