Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physicians’ orders before imaging
- Use x-ray equipment to obtain radiographic images per written orders
- Explain procedures to patients and address questions
- Position patients and assist with moving individuals with limited mobility
- Handle radiologic equipment safely and minimize radiation exposure to patients
- Maintain image quality and ensure proper identification for PACS transmission
- Observe patient status and adapt imaging approach to age-specific needs
- Notify management of damaged or malfunctioning equipment

Requirements
- NYS license (or ability to obtain prior to starting)
- ARRT certification
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience
- Level 1 trauma center experience; OR trauma center experience
- Ability to move and lift patients; ability to stand for extended periods
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- Experience using c-arm/o-arm in the past 8 months
- Must have recent OR experience
- Ability to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
