Job Overview

Zona Facta Collective is seeking reliable and professional Part-Time Armed Security Officers to support a state government facility in the New Orleans area. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment for government employees, visitors, and claimants while ensuring strict adherence to post orders and security protocols.

This is a high-visibility government security post requiring professionalism, accountability, and the ability to successfully complete a federal background investigation (HSPD-12 Tier 2) and obtain a PIV credential.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent armed security presence at assigned government facility
• Monitor and control access to building entry points and visitor flow
• Conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior facility grounds
• Escort visitors, employees, and authorized personnel as required
• Open and secure facility in accordance with post orders and procedures
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations appropriately
• Report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security violations immediately
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and visitor logs accurately
• Maintain compliance with client, state, and federal security requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Louisiana Armed Security Officer license (required)
• Must pass drug screening and criminal background check
• Must be eligible for HSPD-12 Tier 2 federal background investigation
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal PIV credential
• Ability to provide proof of firearms training/qualification
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior armed security, military, law enforcement, or corrections experience
• Experience in government, healthcare, or controlled-access environments
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Professional demeanor and strong situational awareness
• Veterans, retired law enforcement, and experienced security professionals encouraged to apply

Schedule Details

This is a part-time position designed to support operational coverage needs:

• MondayFriday daytime coverage
• Approximately 2030 hours per week
• Occasional Saturdays may be required
• Additional hours available based on contract demand
• Overtime opportunities may be offered
