Responsibilities
- Provide PTA services under supervision of a licensed physical therapist in a LTAC setting
- Conduct patient evaluations and contribute to the development of the Plan of Care
- Implement prescribed physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and modalities
- Monitor patient progress, document responses, and update care plans as directed
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and functional goals
- Collaborate with nursing staff and therapy teammates to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and privacy in accordance with facility policies and regulations

Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license or eligibility to obtain licensure per South Dakota requirements
- Ability to work a dayshift schedule in a long-term care setting
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to comply with facility policies and documentation standards
