Olney Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our in-house therapy team. This leadership opportunity is open to qualified Physical Therapists (PT), Occupational Therapists (OT), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA), and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) who are passionate about clinical excellence, team development, and delivering exceptional patient care.
As Director of Rehabilitation, you will oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and patient-centered care. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both patient outcomes and the growth of a dedicated therapy team.
Position Summary
The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for managing the overall operations of the rehabilitation department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting clinical excellence, and driving positive outcomes for residents and patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent clinical knowledge, and a commitment to building a positive and productive team environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee daily rehabilitation department operations
- Lead, mentor, and support therapy staff to ensure quality patient care and professional growth
- Monitor department performance, productivity, and key operational metrics
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations and policies
- Collaborate with facility leadership, physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in strategic planning and program development to enhance rehabilitation services
- Review documentation for accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and employee development
- Promote patient-centered care and positive clinical outcomes
- Support census development and maintain strong relationships with referral sources when applicable
- Foster a positive culture that encourages teamwork, accountability, and clinical excellence
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Texas license as a PT, OT, COTA, PTA, or SLP
- Previous skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience preferred
- Previous leadership or management experience preferred
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation operations, compliance requirements, and documentation standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of Net Health documentation system preferred
