About the Role:
The Warehouse Associate/Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse activities combined with timely and safe delivery of goods. This position requires managing inventory, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining accurate records while also operating delivery vehicles to transport products to various destinations. The role demands a strong focus on safety, organization, and customer service to meet delivery schedules and maintain high standards of quality. The Warehouse Associate/Driver will collaborate closely with warehouse staff, logistics coordinators, and customers to facilitate smooth supply chain operations. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to the overall success of the company by ensuring products are handled and delivered efficiently and reliably.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no citations).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a warehouse associate and/or delivery driver.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or equivalent for operating larger vehicles.
- Familiarity with warehouse management software, such as Epicor Prophet 21, and handheld scanning devices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments in the warehouse according to company procedures.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for shipment, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly labeled.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Drive delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers or other company locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update shipment logs using warehouse management systems.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring cargo is secured properly.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors, dispatchers, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
