Job Description
Join the Pinecrest team at our brand-new facility in Brainerd as an Environmental Services Assistant Director! Make a daily impact by helping maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for our residents, employees, families and volunteers.
Qualifications:
- Experience with maintenance, housekeeping and groundskeeping tasks, with knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and supplies, as well as the operation of the maintenance, grounds, and cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of chemical use, hazardous waste, and infection control practices.
- Great communication skills to help promote a positive working relationship with management, employees, residents, and residents family members. Always display tact and consideration.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge and experience in leadership regarding the areas surrounding Environmental Services.
- Ability to solve problems and adjust and adapt to unexpected situations.
- A valid boilers license is required.
- Read, write, and communicate in English.
- Mechanical background is necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Perform housekeeping duties such as disinfecting, dusting, mopping, cleaning mirrors, walls, and floors, emptying garbage, organizing furniture, vacuuming, and other related duties. Support and promote Woodcrests Hometown Culture.
- Use supplies per manufacturer guidelines and take care of cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaners, carts, vacuums etc.
- Keep work area and utility rooms neat, orderly and safe.
- Report all required improvements and repairs to the Environmental Services Director.
- Maintain good rapport with management, employees, residents, and residents family members, while displaying a great deal of patience, tact, and consideration.
- Refer all resident medical or personal care questions to the nurse in charge.
- Complete all scheduled duties and special projects as assigned.
- Perform maintenance and grounds keeping tasks.
- Assign delegated tasks to those on the Environmental Services Team.
- Attend meetings with management team and hold meetings with environmental services staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
