• Monitor business performance against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Develop and track key financial and operational KPIs across all sales channels.
Cash Flow, Working Capital & Profitability
• Manage cash flow planning and liquidity to support business operations and growth.
• Oversee inventory, receivables, payables, and other working capital drivers to optimize financial performance.
• Analyze profitability by channel, product category, and store, identifying opportunities to improve margins and returns.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure effective internal controls, financial policies, and compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and serve as the primary finance contact for auditors and external advisors.
• Manage relationships with the company's insurance brokers and providers, ensuring adequate coverage, cost optimization, and timely resolution of claims and compliance requirements.
Team Leadership
• Lead and develop the US finance team while ensuring effective coordination with the accounting team based in Italy.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and business partnership across the organization.
What You Bring:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong experience in retail, consumer goods, or multi-unit businesses.
• Proven ability to partner with senior executives and influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
• Solid understanding of financial planning, reporting, accounting, internal controls, and cash flow management.
• Experience managing teams within an international or matrix organization.
• Advanced proficiency with financial systems and analytical tools; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment.
• ...and of course, a chocolate and gelato lover!
