Job Description
Location: Clemson, SC
Schedule:
- 24 Hours On / 48 Hours Off
- Rotating Shift Schedule
The EMS Captain supervises EMTs and Paramedics, oversees emergency medical operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and coordinates emergency response activities. The role serves as a leader within the fire department and supports operational readiness and personnel development.
Responsibilities- Supervise EMS personnel during emergency responses.
- Coordinate medical operations and resource deployment.
- Ensure compliance with EMS protocols and standards.
- Conduct training, evaluations, and performance reviews.
- Investigate incidents and prepare reports.
- Manage medical equipment, supplies, and inventories.
- Collaborate with hospitals and public safety agencies.
- Support departmental strategic initiatives and planning.
- High School Diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred).
- State Paramedic Certification.
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS Certifications.
- EMS supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
