Machine Operator

Medline, the largest provider of medical-surgical products and supply chain solutions in the U.S., is seeking a Machine Operator to join a medium-sized team. This role focuses on operating and maintaining production equipment to ensure safety, quality, and efficient output in a clean, organized environment. The position offers a fixed or rotating shift schedule and encourages a collaborative approach while following instructions with some independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, start up, and shut down production machinery according to instructions
• Monitor machines to address stoppages and troubleshoot issues promptly
• Perform routine cleanup and minor maintenance on equipment and production areas
• Inspect products for quality and maintain accurate paperwork and reports
• Handle packaging, material preparation, and boxing line operations
• Assist with material availability and support team tasks as needed
• Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and attendance standards

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent in a high-volume environment
• High school diploma or at least 2 years of work experience in manufacturing
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift/move 5 to 50 pounds
• Visual acuity, depth perception, and color vision required for quality inspection
• Basic math skills including fractional and decimal equations
• Capability to operate a pallet jack and work in varying temperature environments
• Proficient reading, writing, and understanding of English instructions and charts

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing machine operation and equipment troubleshooting
• Knowledge of quality control, safety procedures, and teamwork dynamics
• Strong communication skills and the ability to cross-train on different equipment or processes
