Job Description
In this role you will provide operations and systems consulting and project management to help our manufacturing and distribution clients improve and expand. We tackle exciting projects involving robotics and automation, new manufacturing or distribution layouts, selecting and implementing ERP systems, diagnosing operational issues, and training personnel in leadership, lean and operations improvement. This person needs to be comfortable with embracing artificial intelligence and modern technology and consider how it can be useful to our clients. We’re looking for a Project Manager with a background in industrial and systems, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering. This individual will face unique challenges in solving complex manufacturing and systems issues that our clients couldn’t solve on their own.
In this role your work is what we sell, and the person must have good customer experience and interpersonal skills and the ability to present, communicate and sell their ideas, along with the technical knowledge.
You’ll work closely with nine other team members in a collaborative environment where we support one another to achieve success.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in the following areas:
- ERP systems experience in manufacturing
- Responsible for operational improvements in manufacturing
- Project management expertise
- Facility and equipment layout design, capacity planning
- Lean training, facilitation, and continuous improvement
- Inventory management and supply chain management
- Warehouse design, material handling equipment specifications, warehouse management systems
- Operational analysis to find opportunities for improvement
- Knowledge of information flow in a manufacturing environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to identify, define, and evaluate solutions to problems
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to listen and understand client needs
- Grit and entrepreneurial approach to work that is critical for growing our company.
- Technical sales and proposal writing experience is a plus.
Required Education:
- BS or MS in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, or systems engineering, and/or an MBA
- Six Sigma/Lean Black Belt, Project Management, ISO 9001, or AS 9100 certifications are a plus
