Job Description
Position: Master's Level Comprehensive Evaluator
Position Description: Emerge Behavioral Health has several open positions across Central Florida. The Candidate may be a Registered Intern and Master-level Clinician. The candidates should have 1 year of experience conducting comprehensive evaluations, diagnosing, administering, and scoring a range of standardized psychological assessment tools. If the Candidate does not have experience, they will be trained.
The position involves completing a Biopsychosocial Assessment, administering and scoring different standardized psychological assessments, and completing other required forms as part of the packet. The work location may vary from the client's home to a Department of Juvenile Justice facility or another appropriate location in the community that clients/families can easily travel to.
The goal of the Standard Comprehensive Evaluation is to assess the youth's functioning in five (5) areas: mental health, substance abuse, medical/physical health, vocational skills, and academic performance. The ideal Candidate should have some experience, familiarity, or be able to learn quickly in administering and scoring psychological evaluations.
Completing a Biopsychosocial Assessment Template in Microsoft Word format with fillable cells. It takes 30-45 minutes to complete.
· Complete the Kaufman Behavior Intelligence Scale. Electronic scoring is available.
· Complete a Symptoms Checklist/Rating Scale (e.g., Symptom Assessment-45 Questionnaire [SA-45].
· Complete Achenbach's Youth Self-Report [YSR]. Electronic scoring is available.
· Complete a Beck Depression Inventory [BDI]. Electronic scoring is available.
· Complete a Conners Comprehensive Behavior Rating Scale (CBRS). Electronic scoring is available.
· Complete a Trauma Symptom Checklist for Children [TSCC].
· Complete a Suicide Risk Scale/Questionnaire (e.g., Suicide Probability Scale [SPS].
· Complete the Suicide Ideation Questionnaire [SIQ].
Qualifications:
· Must possess a Master's degree in counseling or a related social and behavioral health degree.
· Must be able to pass a Level II Background Check.
· Must have 1 year of experience assessing and diagnosing mental/behavioral health, substance abuse, and family systems issues.
Must have good record-keeping skills and complete and submit documentation proficiently and on time.
· Must be able to use Microsoft Office Word.
Must have a valid Driver's License and auto insurance.
· Must be willing and able to travel 15-25 miles.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling and Coordinating Evaluations:
· After receiving an assignment, contact referrals and set up appointments to complete the comprehensive evaluation and psychological assessment tools.
Test Administration and Scoring:
· Administer a variety of psychological and neuropsychological tests, ensuring standardized procedures and accurate scoring.
Test Interpretation:
· Interpret test results, considering individual norms, established criteria, and test limitations.
Report Generation:
· Prepare reports summarizing test findings, observations, and recommendations for the supervising psychologist or neuropsychologist.
Client Interaction:
· Build rapport with clients, explain the testing process, and address any questions they may have.
Test Material Management:
· Responsible for the storage, inventory, and maintenance of test materials.
Record Keeping:
· Maintain confidential records of patient test data and demographic information.
Collaboration:
· Work closely with Emerge team members to provide valuable data and insights for diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
Clerical/Administrative Duties:
· Light case management and other necessary administrative tasks.
Pay Scale: $360.00 ($60,00/hr) to $420.00 ($70/hr) per packet. The reimbursement escalation is dependent on the Candidate's proven ability to complete packets in a timely, correct, and quality-driven manner. The Contractors can receive quarterly bonuses of $250-$500 for timely, error-free, and consistent document completion.
Type of Position: Part-time (18-24 hours per week) - 1099 Contractor Position.
