Job Description
Technical Services Sales Manager Miller Bros Solar
About Miller Bros Solar
Headquartered in Flourtown, PA, MBS operates 5GW+ of both Distributed Generation (DG), Utility Scale PV plants, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across 29 states in North America. Our dedicated team aims to exceed client expectations, control costs, and enable power plants under our management to achieve expected ROIs. Through meticulous customer-focused operations, financial decision-making, and 24/7/365 availability, MBS provides a full wrap of O&M services tailored to our partners' needs. MBS is an equal opportunity employer. We do not sponsor employment visas.
Position Summary
We are seeking a high-energy Technical Services Sales Manager to drive utilization and growth of MBS's traveling Technical Services crews. This role serves as the critical link between our internal O&M operations teams and our Technical Services division — identifying upcoming project needs, coordinating crew deployment, and ensuring our field teams are fully utilized across new construction, repowers, and specialty O&M work. If you thrive on building relationships, solving scheduling puzzles, and keeping crews productive, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a forward-looking pipeline of Technical Services opportunities by working closely with Regional O&M Managers, Project Managers, and site-level operations teams across MBS's 29-state portfolio.
- Proactively identify upcoming new construction, repower, and specialty O&M scopes where Technical Services crews can be deployed.
- Coordinate with operations leadership to align crew availability, skillsets, and travel logistics to project timelines and client commitments.
- Build strong internal relationships across MBS business units to position Technical Services as the go-to resource for field labor needs.
- Develop and present clear scopes, schedules, and cost estimates for Technical Services engagements in collaboration with the TS team leads and Finance.
- Track all active and pending opportunities in CRM, maintain accurate crew utilization forecasts, and report regularly to leadership on pipeline status.
- Identify gaps in service offerings or crew capabilities and communicate those needs back to Technical Services leadership for workforce planning.
- Support continuous improvement of internal processes, rate structures, and service offerings to remain competitive and efficient.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in solar O&M, field services coordination, project management, or internal business development within a renewable energy company.
- Strong working knowledge of utility-scale solar PV and BESS operations, including new construction activities, repower scopes, and routine O&M services.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across internal teams without direct authority.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills — comfortable managing multiple concurrent opportunities and communicating clearly across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to support crew deployments, site visits, and internal meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working within or alongside a traveling field services or Technical Services division.
- Familiarity with CMMS, SCADA, and performance analysis platforms.
- Background in solar construction, repower projects, or inverter/electrical services.
- Experience with workforce planning or crew utilization management.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary + performance incentives tied to crew utilization and project delivery.
- Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match).
- Strong growth trajectory within a fast-scaling, privately held leader in independent O&M.
- Direct impact on one of the largest independent O&M platforms in North America.
- Collaborative culture that values safety, integrity, and results.
