Express is now hiring for a Maintenance Technician at a manufacturing company based out of Tumwater, Wa. This is an evaluation-permanent opportunity. The schedule will be Monday-Friday 6:50am-3pm. The compensation for this position will be $34-$40 DOE. This company offers

Job Duties:

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Oversee projects, repairs, mold changes, and improvements on production lines, including maintaining and improving equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Execute preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, perform mold changes, and machine setups for efficient production starts.
• Resolve equipment issues, conduct reactive maintenance, and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and structural components.
• Lead equipment upgrades, retrofits, and modifications, including working on PLCs, VFDs, and electric motors.
• Collaborate with team members and operators to meet production goals and maintain effective communication with supervisors and vendors.
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas, maintain tools, and assist with training operators on basic maintenance.
• Assist with spare part inventory, support plant electricians with electrical issues, and follow safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout, Fire/Evacuation, etc.).

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED   
• Provincial/Industrial Mechanic Certification preferred
• Knowledge in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical, Mechanical, PLC
• Have basic knowledge in electricity and control
• Analytical problem-solving skills (DMAIC)
• Must have prior maintenance/mechanical experience with either a minimum of 3 years or a certificate in maintenance
• Injection, Blow Mold, Facilities maintenance experience preferred
• Must possess basic hand tools, standard/metric
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, make decisions and resolve conflicts
