Job Title: Substance Abuse / Addiction Counselor (Part-Time → Full-Time Opportunity)

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Job Type: Part-Time (with opportunity to transition to Full-Time)

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Substance Abuse / Addiction Counselor to join our growing team. This role will begin as a part-time position with the potential to expand into a full-time role as our program continues to grow. The counselor will work with individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring challenges, providing support, counseling, and guidance toward recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and/or group counseling for clients with substance use disorders

• Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Monitor client progress and provide ongoing support and intervention

• Provide education on addiction, relapse prevention, and coping strategies

• Collaborate with other professionals and community resources to support client recovery

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field required

• One of the following credentials preferred: CSW, LMSW, PLPC/PLCP, or other eligible licensure track

• Experience working with substance abuse, addiction treatment, or behavioral health preferred

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Passion for helping individuals achieve recovery and long-term stability

Schedule:

• Part-time schedule initially

• Opportunity to transition into a full-time role as services expand

Compensation:

• $23.00 per hour

• Opportunity for additional hours and professional growth as the program grows
