Job Description

FCAW Welder – Structural Crane Fabrication
Location: North Knoxville, TN
Job Type: Full-Time | Immediate Opening

We are looking for an experienced Flux-Core (FCAW) Welder to join a structural crane fabrication shop in North Knoxville. This is steady, full-time work in a production shop environment building heavy-duty industrial cranes.

What You'll Be Doing:

Flux-core (FCAW) welding on heavy-gauge structural steel crane components
Reading and working from blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
Fitting, aligning, clamping, and tack-welding parts before final welding
Running multi-pass welds on thick structural steel
Operating overhead cranes and hoists to move large assemblies
Inspecting your own welds for quality and accuracy
Following all shop safety protocols and PPE requirements

What You Need:

2+ years of flux-core (FCAW) welding experience — this is a must
Experience with heavy steel or structural fabrication preferred
Ability to pass a flux-core weld test on day one
Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
Overhead crane or rigging experience is a plus
AWS D1.1 certification is a plus
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in various positions
