The Traveling Superintendent (Utility Solar) plays a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and upgrade projects for utility-scale solar systems across various locations nationally. This position involves coordinating teams of 6-15 members to ensure project execution meets safety, quality, and schedule standards while adhering to regulatory compliance and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project activities to ensure compliance with scope, schedule, and safety standards
- Coordinate site operations and communicate effectively with on-site teams and stakeholders
- Enforce safety compliance and OSHA standards on all job sites
- Manage and lead medium-sized teams (6-15 members) to maintain productivity and morale
- Conduct quality control inspections and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain project schedules and manage resources to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in utility solar project management
- OSHA Safety Certification
- Valid Driver's License with ability to travel nationally as required
- Knowledge of utility-scale solar systems and construction management
- Familiarity with project scheduling software and safety protocols
- Strong team leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of regulatory compliance related to utility solar projects
