About the Role

We are seeking a confident, ambitious In-Home Design Consultant who bridges the gap between creative design and residential construction.

This role offers a unique, highly coveted balance of field execution and lifestyle flexibility. Your core customer-facing hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (scheduling 1 to 2 pre-qualified appointments daily), making this position ideal for professionals looking to balance a rewarding career with personal or family commitments (such as school-aged children). When you aren't out meeting clients, you have the total freedom to work from home or your favorite local coffee shop to finalize your design notes, client scopes, and project files.

No Cold Calling or Door Knocking: All of your sales appointments are 100% pre-qualified and pre-scheduled with local homeowners who have explicitly requested a consultation with us.

Key Responsibilities

• In-Home Consultations: Conduct professional design consultations and assist our clients with functional, beautiful design concepts for their homes.
• Site Documentation: Take accurate physical measurements and comprehensive technical photographs of designated kitchen, bath, and basement project areas.
• Scope of Work Creation: Utilize our proprietary software to build detailed project scopes of work and clean, basic floor plans for our internal estimating team.
• Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as a crucial communicative bridge between the client’s design vision and our technical estimator to ensure structural accuracy.
• Professional Development: Collaborate actively with an assigned, highly skilled mentor dedicated to your ongoing career growth and development.

Candidate Qualities & Job Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of three years of successful sales experience OR direct experience navigating residential remodeling, construction layout, or renovation.
• Technical & Digital Literacy: You must confidently know your way around a tape measure, a mobile smartphone (for field data/photos), and a laptop (proficient with Google Sheets, Google Docs, and general computer skills).
• Customer-Centric Acumen: Outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent selling acumen, a high standard of integrity, strong work ethic, and an unwavering dedication to customer service.
• Autonomy: Superior organization and planning skills with precise attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

• Reliable Transportation: Must possess dependable and presentable transportation for traveling to regional residential client sites (mileage is fully reimbursed between your home and appointments).
