Retail Staff Pharmacist | Paris, Kentucky

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A well-established retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, seeks a dedicated full-time Staff Pharmacist to contribute to a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a strong team of pharmacy professionals and provide exceptional pharmaceutical care to the community.

Key Responsibilities:• Verify prescription accuracy and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.• Provide thorough patient counseling and address medication-related inquiries.• Oversee daily pharmacy workflow and support pharmacy technicians.• Utilize PioneerRx system for managing and processing prescriptions efficiently.• Deliver excellent customer service to both patients and pharmacy staff.• Assist with pharmacy coverage, including 1 to 2 Saturdays per month.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing.• Recent retail pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.• Proficiency with PioneerRx pharmacy software preferred.• Ability to thrive in a high-volume pharmacy setting.• Strong communication and customer service skills.• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.• Flexibility to cover scheduled Saturdays.

Schedule:• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays weekly).• Saturday coverage approximately 1 to 2 times per month, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Work Environment:• Approximately 3,000 prescriptions processed per week.• Weekday staffing: 2 pharmacists and 5 to 6 technicians.• Saturday staffing: 1 pharmacist and 3 to 4 technicians.
