Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Empower the growth and well-being of PK-8 students as a key member of a school-based psychological services team. This contract position offers the opportunity to directly impact a small, tight-knit school district with approximately 900 students. The position focuses on providing essential support in both preventive and intervention services, working alongside staff, students, and families.

Key qualifications and experience that will set you up for success include:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification (state of NJ required)
  • Experience providing psychological evaluations, case management, and student counseling in a PK-8 setting
  • Familiarity with state and federal special education guidelines
  • Strong assessment, reporting, and communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate or assist with Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) matters is a plus
  • Flexible collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and school teams

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of approximately 45-50 students, ensuring each receives appropriate assessment, support, and case oversight
  • Conducting student evaluations and facilitating the completion of necessary documentation (around 25 evaluations per school year)
  • Providing individual and group counseling as needed
  • Coordinating with educators, service providers, and families to ensure the development and implementation of effective interventions
  • Supporting and possibly leading HIB case management within the school community
  • Engaging in full-time work during standard school hours (8:15 AM – 3:20 PM)
