Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a background in commercial lines within an independent agency who is looking for long-term career growth and stability.

This is an on-site role, with potential flexibility for remote work after an initial period based on performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive, day-to-day service to clients by anticipating needs and responding promptly to inquiries

  • Coordinate internally and externally to gather and deliver client-related information

  • Review client exposures, loss history, and coverage to recommend appropriate insurance solutions annually

  • Prepare and present renewal proposals to existing clients

  • Communicate client needs and binding instructions to insurance carriers

  • Ensure accuracy of binders, policies, certificates, and related documentation

  • Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely premium collections and payments

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the agency management system

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience within an independent insurance agency

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License

  • Professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, or CISR are a plus

  • High attention to detail with strong follow-up capabilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with agency management or CRM systems (knowledge of EZLynx is a plus)

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
