Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN) to provide leadership, clinical oversight, and patient-centered care within a fast-paced Medical Surgical or Ortho/Neuro Trauma unit. This role is ideal for a strong acute care nurse with leadership experience who is passionate about mentoring staff, improving patient outcomes, and driving operational excellence.

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality care while supporting staff development and unit performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee patient care activities during assigned shifts
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient throughput processes
• Monitor quality of care and collaborate on performance improvement initiatives
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
• Participate in interviewing, onboarding, training, and staff development
  

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN License required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required *BSN preferred
• Strong current Medical Surgical acute care experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Candidates with at least 2 years of recent Med-Surg RN experience and demonstrated leadership potential will be considered
• Experience must be current and within an acute care Med-Surg environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $35.65 – $47.64 per hour (based on experience)
• Night Shift Differential: $4.00 per hour
• Weekend Differential: $4.00 per hour
• Sign-On Bonus: Available on a case-by-case basis

Schedule - Full-Time

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Med-Surg)
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Med-Surg and Ortho/Neuro Trauma)
• Rotating Weekends Required
