Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a significant impact in the lives of students as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational setting, serving schools throughout the Oroville area and potentially Paradise as well. This in-person contract opportunity runs the full academic year, from August 10 through May 28, 2027, with a full-time schedule. Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support K-12 students with diverse needs—all while enjoying the benefit of mileage reimbursement for travel between school sites.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active and valid OT license (California state licensure required)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and documentation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable traveling among multiple school locations in the area
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized occupational therapy plans for students
- Provide direct therapy, consultation, and recommendations to students, staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and school staff collaborations
- Travel between assigned school sites within the region, with mileage reimbursement provided
- Adapt strategies and interventions to promote students’ success in the classroom and school environment
