Job Description
This role supports a medical center build-out by installing, fitting, and welding piping systems in an active construction environment. You will work with copper and other piping materials, perform brazing and welding, and help retrofit and rebuild existing pipe systems, including work in clean room environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, fit, and assemble piping systems for a medical center build-out in accordance with project specifications and blueprints.
- Perform pipe welding and brazing on copper and other piping materials to ensure secure and reliable joints.
- Work within clean room environments, following appropriate procedures to maintain cleanliness and system integrity.
- Retrofit and rebuild existing pipe systems as part of a larger construction and renovation project.
- Interpret and work from construction blueprints, drawings, and layout plans for piping installations.
- Install and support medical gas piping systems under supervision or in collaboration with experienced personnel, where applicable.
Essential Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in pipe fitting in a government or commercial setting.
- Hands-on experience with pipe fitting and installation in construction or industrial environments.
- Proficiency in welding techniques relevant to piping systems.
- Experience working with copper pipe, including cutting, fitting, and installation.
- Demonstrated brazing experience on piping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Experience with medical gas (med gas) piping systems is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is based on an active construction site focused on retrofitting and rebuilding a medical center pipe system. You will work primarily with copper and other piping materials, using tools and equipment for welding, brazing, threading, and installation. The schedule runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed. The environment includes clean room areas and typical construction site conditions, requiring adherence to site safety rules and appropriate work attire such as standard construction clothing and protective gear

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
