School Occupational Therapist - Dearborn, Michigan

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Contribute your expertise two and a half days a week, aligning your schedule with the elementary hours of 8:35 AM to 3:38 PM.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license for Michigan (required)
• Experience working within a school setting highly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Skilled in assessment and development of individualized treatment plans
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities with staff and families
• Compassionate approach, adapting to the unique needs of each student

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services within the school environment to meet students’ IEP goals
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment strategies for students with a range of needs
• Maintain accurate records and timely documentation for assigned caseload
• Collaborate with special education team, teachers, and families to foster student success
• Consult with staff to recommend classroom adaptations and therapeutic strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding student progress and necessary supports
