Extrusion Machine Operator

Monday-Wednesday schedule / OT on Thursdays as needed (7pm-7am)

Pay starting at $20/hr

We are looking for an experienced Extrusion Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you’ll set up, operate, and monitor extrusion equipment to produce high-quality plastic products aligned with production standards. You’ll be responsible for loading materials, adjusting machine settings, inspecting finished products, and keeping equipment running efficiently. This is a hands-on role in a clean, organized manufacturing environment where attention to detail and quality are key.

Responsibilities

•  Set up extrusion machines based on production requirements
• Operate and monitor equipment to ensure consistent output and efficiency
•  Load raw materials safely and accurately into machines
• Adjust temperature, speed, and pressure settings for optimal performance
•   Inspect finished products for quality, dimensions, and defects
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues to minimize downtime
• Record production data and maintain accurate documentation
•  Follow all safety and quality guidelines
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant
• Support changeovers, material handling, and other production needs

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of machine operating experience in manufacturing
• Experience with extrusion or similar production equipment preferred
• Ability to make minor machine adjustments and repairs
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Familiar with blueprints or production specifications
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Committed to safety and following procedures
• Comfortable maintaining production records

Additional Skills

• Extrusion or plastics manufacturing experience is a plus
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Strong organization and housekeeping habits
• Team-oriented with willingness to assist where needed
• Reliable and flexible with scheduling

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hickory, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
