Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid OT license from the appropriate state board
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
  • Familiarity with conducting screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring
  • Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and their development
  • Knowledge of both direct and indirect therapeutic interventions
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including educators, families, and other providers
  • Creative problem-solving and adaptability in a dynamic school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student assessments and screenings in accordance with best school OT practices
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives in collaboration with educators and parents
  • Provide both direct and consultative occupational therapy services tailored to individual students
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and progress reports
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers and staff to promote student participation and success in daily school activities
  • Serve as a resource to the school community on student accommodations and adaptive strategies
  • Engage in professional development and training to remain current in the field
