Maintenance Technician

Overview:

• Perform preventative maintenance on bakery production and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failures occur.
• Repair conveyors, mixers, ovens, slicers, packaging equipment, and other production machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
• Work closely with production teams to support operational goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance workspace.

Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, food production, bakery, or industrial environments preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and production equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and food production equipment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
