Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drill Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience operating drill press machinery. This role involves general labor duties, cleaning work areas, utilizing hand and power tools, sanding and grinding materials, and operating a drill press machine. Candidates with experience in hand and power tools, sanders, grinders, manual labor, and fabrication are highly suited for this position.

Responsibilities

• Operate drill press machinery effectively and efficiently.
• Perform general labor duties including cleaning work areas.
• Utilize hand and power tools as required.
• Sand and grind materials as part of the fabrication process.
• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Set up and troubleshoot machinery as needed.
• Perform deburring and machine operation.
• Handle press brake and saw operation.
• Engage in fabrication tasks.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience as a Drill Press Operator.
• Proficiency in using drill press machinery.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints and shop drawings.
• Capability to set up and troubleshoot machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience sanding and grinding steel components.
• 1+ year of experience within a steel shop.
• 1+ year of experience as a fabricator.

Work Environment

Work in a large shop/manufacturing environment that is non-climate controlled, with dock doors open and fans to regulate temperature during warmer seasons. The shift is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Galion, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
