We are partnering on behalf of a premier luxury lifestyle hotel in Midtown Manhattan seeking a talented Sous Chef to join its culinary leadership team. This is an opportunity to work in a chef-driven environment focused on refined execution, exceptional guest experiences, and modern hospitality.

This role is ideal for a Sous Chef who thrives in a polished, high-energy setting and brings a deep appreciation for authentic and contemporary Italian cooking techniques.

What You’ll Do
  • Support daily culinary operations across restaurant and hotel food & beverage outlets
  • Lead, coach, and develop kitchen teams while maintaining a collaborative culture
  • Execute elevated Italian-inspired menus with consistency and attention to detail
  • Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and operational standards
  • Assist with scheduling, labor management, inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
  • Partner with culinary leadership on menu development and seasonal offerings
  • Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Help drive service excellence during high-volume periods and special events
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of Sous Chef experience in upscale restaurant or hotel environments
  • Strong foundation in Italian cuisine and scratch cooking techniques
  • Experience leading kitchen teams in fast-paced, service-driven operations
  • Knowledge of purchasing, inventory, labor management, and kitchen systems
  • Ability to mentor cooks and maintain high culinary standards
  • Hotel experience preferred but not required
  • Culinary degree a plus
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $80,000–$85,000
