Job Description
What You will Do:
· Design Generator components, and support drawing and assembly BOM updates.
· Interface with manufacturing and sourcing to assist in Non-Conformance Requests (NCRs) and Supplier Deviation Requests (SDRs).
· Perform updates to design documentation and instructions.
· Develop mechanical solutions, including design calculations, to meet stator product and service needs.
· Develop mechanical and testing plans for stator components and assemblies, and oversee or perform actual tests as needed in conjunction with lab. Interpret test results and recommend appropriate actions.
· Work on RCA investigations for performance and warranty issues on generator stator components.
· Navigate component and assembly drawings and identify parts in a bill of material (BOM).
· Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
· Utilize 3D models and finite element analysis (ANSYS Workbench).
· Utilize PLM for change issues.
· Coordinate with Leads, SMEs, Chief, and CADD engineers on activities completion.
· Provide weekly summary status reports with tasks status.
· Manage project tasks, deliverables, and financials.
What You Will Bring:
· BS/MS Mechanical Engineering with 10 to 15 years of experience in power generation.
· Ability to understand operation and functions of the power generator.
· Ability to navigate component and assembly drawings and identify parts in a bill of material (BOM).
· Ability to interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
· Strong analytical, experimental, and statistical aptitude.
· Ability to do operations with Microsoft office tools like Excel, PowerPoint.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to be a cross-functional team leader with good interpersonal skills.
