Part-Time Oncologist Opportunity - Brattleboro, VermontSeeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Oncologist to join the Oncology Department at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in Brattleboro, VT — providing comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care to individuals and families across southeastern Vermont.Position Details

• Diagnosis, staging, and management of a wide range of cancers
• Development of personalized treatment plans utilizing chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
• Monitoring and adjustment of treatment protocols and management of treatment-related side effects
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and support staff
• Participation in clinical trials and research initiatives
• Patient and family education on cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and side effects
• Mentorship and guidance to oncology healthcare staff
• FTE: 0.6 (24 hours/week) | Part-time
• Hours: Vary | Weekend and holiday schedules: Rotating
• FLSA Status: Exempt
Qualifications
• MD or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certified or board eligible in Oncology
• Active and unrestricted Vermont state medical license
• Strong clinical expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical concepts to patients and families
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with oncology research
