Job Description:

Receives patients, explains methods of procedures, positions patients, selects and sets technical factors, sets accessory equipment, and makes exposures necessary for the requested procedures. Works with patients to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations. Monitor patients' vital signs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of difficult radiographic examinations, ensuring thoroughness and attention to detail.
• Use knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and technical information to advise and perform job duties.
• Control image quality through patient positioning, compression, and image production.
• Interpret and apply radiation protection standards and perform necessary QC for modalities.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cassette readers, picture archiving systems, and various radiology IT equipment.
• Conduct routine as well as complex exams and maintain qualifications in additional modalities.
• Plan and coordinate work operations in the radiology department and requisition necessary supplies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in applicable field and 2 years of applicable experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Must be ARRT registered Technologist with 1-2 years of CT training and experience.
• Maintain accreditation through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, including mandatory continuing education.
• Comply with federal requirements regarding background checks, child abuse, and violent felonies.
