American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg PCU Telemetry night shift position at a critical access hospital in Vermont, requiring at least 5 years of experience and the ability to perform charge nurse duties.
Details- Critical access hospital with 25 beds serving the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont
- Combined PCU, Med/Surg, and Telemetry unit
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, including every other weekend
- Floating required to other units including the ED and MCH as needed
- 13-week contract
- Active VT or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
- Critical access hospital, PCU, telemetry, or Med/Surg experience required
- Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
- Must be able to float to other units including ED and MCH
- Attendance at department quarterly education sessions is required
- Personal transportation is strongly recommended, as public transportation in the area is very limited
- The hospital is located in Newport, VT, a small town on the Canadian border known for outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
