Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at an acute care hospital in South Carolina, requiring 2+ years of ED experience and a valid SC or compact RN license.

Details
  • Work in the Emergency Department of a 119-bed acute care hospital
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Patient ratios determined by acuity
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
  • Charting performed in Epic
  • Free parking available on-site
Requirements
  • Active SC or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency department RN experience required
  • Required certifications (AHA-issued only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
  • Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
  • Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for standard travel pay rate; local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have prior emergency room experience
  • Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval upon request
  • All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on facility needs
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • During hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
  • Local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
