American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at an acute care hospital in South Carolina, requiring 2+ years of ED experience and a valid SC or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of a 119-bed acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Patient ratios determined by acuity
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- Charting performed in Epic
- Free parking available on-site
- Active SC or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department RN experience required
- Required certifications (AHA-issued only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for standard travel pay rate; local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
- Two professional references required for consideration
- First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have prior emergency room experience
- Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval upon request
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on facility needs
- Royal blue scrubs required
- During hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
- Local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
