American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for an outpatient clinical setting, requiring a minimum of 2 years of radiology clinical experience and ARRT(R) certification.
Details- Outpatient clinical imaging setting
- Performs MRI and MRA examinations in coordination with physicians
- Schedule includes Friday and Monday 10:30 AM–9:00 PM and Saturday/Sunday 8:00 AM–6:30 PM
- Day shift position
- Associate's degree in MRI technology, radiography, or a related field (e.g., biology or anatomy) followed by an MRI tech training program
- Minimum of 2 years of radiology clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Washington State Radiologic Technologists Certification, RT(R) required — license required if applicable
- ARRT(R) registration required
- ARRT(MR) or ARRT(CT) certification preferred; ARRT(MR) required within 6 months of hire
- BLS at the Healthcare Provider (HCP) level required
- Proficiency with MRI equipment operation, troubleshooting, and QA procedures
- Competency in contrast injections and contrast dosage/administration
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, lift/push up to 50 lbs, reach, kneel, bend, stoop, and pull
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with physicians, nurses, patients, and families
- Responsible for performing MRI and MRA studies, scheduling and reviewing daily exams, and ensuring completion including teleradiology
- MRI Safety Level 2 training required annually
- Applies infection control principles and patient safety screening protocols
- Works independently without direct supervision while maintaining timely and efficient patient care
- Reports to the Imaging Director and collaborates closely with the imaging team and other departments
- Up to 24 hours of call-off may be available during the course of the assignment
