Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Olympia, Washington. This position is based in a busy outpatient imaging department and requires a skilled technologist who is proficient in both screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic images in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to established protocols.
  • Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Review images for quality and repeat studies as necessary to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
  • Educate and support patients throughout imaging procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
  • Enter and maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and departmental quality assurance standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and imaging department staff to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Maintain equipment functionality and report operational concerns as needed.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Approximately 20-minute appointment slots
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • No Call
  • No Weekend Rotation
  • No Holiday Requirement
  • Floating: None
  • Primarily scheduled with Thursdays off (subject to change)
  • Gray Scrubs Required
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience.
  • First-time travelers accepted.
  • Active Washington State Radiologic Technologist License required.
  • ARRT (Mammography) Certification required.
  • Experience performing Screening Mammography required.
  • Experience performing Diagnostic Mammography required.
  • Bone Densitometry experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong patient care, positioning, and image quality assessment skills.

  • GE Mammography System
Required Credentials
  • ARRT (Mammography)
  • Washington State Radiologic Technologist License
  • BLS Certification
  • Core Mandatory Exam (Allied/Non-Nursing)
  • CT Tech Skills Checklist
