Start Date: July 20, 2026
Location: Kansas City, Missouri metropolitan area
Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with on-call requirements Monday–Friday 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM and Saturday–Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM when scheduled. 90-day assignment with 12-hour orientation period.
Highlights:- Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care across all patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults
- Coordinate care with surgical and anesthesia teams while directing operating room technicians and support personnel
- Open heart experience strongly preferred for this specialty surgical role
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and continuing education opportunities
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to other healthcare personnel
- Travel nursing assignment with competitive overtime, call-back, and holiday compensation
- Current Registered Nurse license in Missouri or compact state eligibility
- Surgery/Operating Room nursing certification and experience required
- Demonstrated competency in perioperative nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Open heart surgery experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure continuity of care and efficient patient flow
