American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Santa Rosa, California.

Location: Santa Rosa, California
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00), 13-week assignment. Patient ratio 1:3. Float between like units as needed. Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
Highlights:- 277-bed acute care hospital with 10-bed Labor and Delivery Recovery Post-partum (LDRP) unit
- Daily census of 12 patients; facility averages 200-300 births per month
- Epic charting system; 36-hour orientation provided
- Experience with high-risk antepartum, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, and circulating for C-sections
- Supportive environment with opportunities to utilize strong precepting skills
- Guaranteed hours with limited call-off provisions
- Active California RN license required prior to submission
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and post-partum nursing
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with triage of obstetrical patients, sterile vaginal exams, IUPC placement and calibration, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and maintaining central lines
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
