American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 3 years of OR experience.
Details- Work in the Operating Room of a 186-bed Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- On-call required 1–2 times per week from 7:30 PM – 11:00 PM
- Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed by the department
- Epic EMR used; experience is required
- Scrubs are provided for this role
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
- Active RN license (Compact or Connecticut state license) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- No prior disciplinary actions or encumbrances on nursing license
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Orientation is held every other Monday at this campus
- Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
- Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccine required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
